Trout Unlimited is looking for your input. This fairly simple member survey will take you between 15 and 25 minutes. It does not ask you what your median household income is but rather imperative information as to how much you fish, what you choose to fish for and how TU can improve its social contact with you. As a former chapter officer and State Council Representative I understand the difficult nature in keeping a balance of too much contact with members and how to do that appropriately. Every non-profit out there is struggling with printing costs and mailings that most often get put in the recycling bin. Any given day of the week I can have three or four letters from the NRC, American Rivers, the Yellowstone Foundation, Ocean Conservancy, Save the Redwoods, etc. all looking for donations. I do as much as I can, but I can’t always donate funds for every organization out there. I feel strongly about what Trout Unlimited does and I continue to support their efforts on a grassroots/local and a national level. I hope you take the time to fill out the survey and let them know how you would like to be contacted and what other organizations you support. We can’t all write checks and we can’t all move rocks, but together, we can do both.
